Welcome

Please find below a summary of the GCSE results achieved by the students and staff this year. This is an outstanding achievement which will place the Campus in the top 5% of schools nationally in terms of student progress. We are also now the leading school in Thurrock for academic results.

The figure in brackets is the Fischer Band D target. This is given to each school by the government and tells us what we need to achieve to make the top 20% of schools nationally. As you can see, we have far exceeded our target, showing again the excellent results achieved.

5 A-C’s 93% (Fischer Band D 67%)

5 A-C’s including Maths and English 65% (Fischer Band D 52%)

This is the most important % and is the highest in Thurrock

5 A-G’s including Maths and English 100%

3 A* / A’s 22%

This is above the national average

These results conclude an excellent year with the Campus being designated High Performing Status (our second specialism is Applied Learning), being shortlisted down to the final six for Secondary School of the Year, receiving an outstanding Business and Education Ofsted and also being awarded Trust School Status.

I find these results particularly pleasing for all the boys and girls in our local community. The Campus is fully socially inclusive and we do not select students on ability. Well done to all students and staff. The Key Stage 3 and A/S results were also the best we have ever achieved. We will keep improving, so that next year, as in previous years, we achieve another record-breaking results day.

My first Parents’ Forum will be on Wednesday 16th September, where I will be discussing the results further and giving an introduction to the Campus year. New Year 7 parents are especially welcome and I look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.

Yours faithfully

C Tomlinson
