Dear Parents / Guardians

Every year Chafford Hundred keeps improving standards in all areas. The results achieved in 2011 are brilliant and a true reflection of the hard work, effort and commitment made by all students and staff. The students’ performance this year was exceptional and every member of staff is prepared to “go the extra mile” to ensure that every student succeeds. This is the secret of our achievements over the last three years.

At Harris Academy Chafford Hundred we will always look to sustain or improve our excellent standards. We are now one of the very best schools in the country, a fully socially inclusive school, serving our local community and with no selection on ability.

By joining the Harris Federation and developing a sixth form where we strive to be outstanding, we will keep the momentum of the incredible student success.

Below is a summary of our results this year:

5 A*-C’s including Maths and English: 92% (12% increase on last year)

5 A*-C’s: 100% (second year running)

English A*-C’s: 99%

Maths A*-C’s: 93%

Science A*-C’s (two GCSE’s): 99%

Out of the 43 subjects we offered, 23 achieved 100% and 39 achieved 90% or more. This year all subjects beat their A*/A targets.

At least 3 A*/A: 62% of students achieved at least 3 A*/A’s

English A*/A: 41%

Maths A*/A: 40%

English Literature A*/A: 53%

These results are an incredible achievement. Well done to all students and staff and thank you for your support. Every year we will strive to improve our standards.
